Patagonia Roadside Rest
A popular site with the region’s avid birders, this rest stop offers a quick birding location along E Patagonia Highway (Route 82) and is located between the town of Patagonia and Patagonia Lake State Park. The roadside rest area offers little in the way of amenities (parking and picnic table) but does offer a chance to spot some rarities along Sonoita Creek, especially during spring migration periods. Some highlights include thick-billed kingbird, varied bunting, and rose-throated becard.
