Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

Part zoo, part botanical garden, part natural history museum, and part aquarium, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a Tucson icon that is always worthy of a visit.  The exhibits and grounds display only animals and plants that inhabit the Sonoran Desert and its waters.  The well-maintained paths snake through a beautiful portion of Arizona Upland habitat featuring stately saguaros, palo verde, mesquite, and ironwood.  The abundance of native plants provide habitat for native birds and offers excellent birding all year.
