Betty’s Kitchen Watchable Wildlife Area and Interpretive Trail

Betty’s Kitchen is nestled between Mittry Lake, Laguna Dam, and the Colorado River.  This recreation area has an interpretive trail and picnic area with restrooms.   Part of the restoration of the native riparian habitat includes two cottonwood/willow plantations that attract a variety of bird life.

Directions: From Yuma, take State Highway 95 (16th Street) east 5 miles to Avenue 7E. Turn north on Avenue 7E, following it 9 miles to a point just past Laguna Dam. Turn left at the sign for Betty's Kitchen.

Restroom located at Mittry Lake Boat Launch (1 mile north). Site has ramadas for picnicking.
