Chiricahua Mountains – Barfoot Park
Nestled among the pines at 8,169 feet elevation, Barfoot Park is a great escape from the desert heat. Barfoot Spring supplies water to a lush meadow in the middle of the park-like conifer forest, creating a habitat mosaic that is rich in birdlife. Several southeastern Arizona specialties can be found here, including Mexican Chickadee, Greater Pewee, and multiple species of warbler.
