Lake Havasu – Castle Rock
The area is part of the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge. Castle Rock Bay is a small quiet cove covering 10 acres along the Colorado River a little north of Lake Havasu City. It contains a 0.2 mile loop around a distinctive rock feature. Part of the trail opens to a beach on Lake Havasu. From that viewpoint, visitors may see American coots, redheads, and western and Clark’s grebes, among other species. The Castle Rock area is surrounded by trees and bushes and occupies a vast amount of space along one sandy edge of the Colorado River.
