North Rim
The North Rim is popular for its rugged, isolated trails, and its sparse facilities. Visitors call the North Rim a spectacular and must-see spot, remarking on its peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It is visited by only 10% of all park visitors.
The North Rim Visitor Center is located adjacent to the parking lot for Grand Canyon Lodge and Bright Angel Point. For classic North Rim views, start at the Grand Canyon Lodge patio, then walk the paved trail out to Bright Angel Point.

Directions: The entrance to the Grand Canyon National Park North Rim is located 30 miles south of Jacob Lake on AZ-67; the actual rim of the canyon is an additional 14 miles south. Jacob Lake, AZ is located in northern Arizona on Highway AZ-89A, not far from the Utah border.

Know Before You Go
Between December 1 and May 14, North Rim roads are closed to all vehicles (including snowmobiles). No visitor services are available.
