Picacho Peak State Park

The 1,500-foot Picacho Peak rises above the surrounding desert like a ship’s hull and is visible many miles away. The park is home to many desert birds, mammals, and reptiles.  In years with good winter rains, the park is famous for its spring wildflower display.  This state park offers many hiking trails, including one to the top of Picacho Peak (wear sturdy gloves for the cables).
