Queen Creek Trailhead
The Town of Superior has designated this site and trail as the “Legends of Superior Trail”. The walking trail is a broad and level old highway right of way that parallels Queen Creek. It is easily accessible. Resolution Copper has agreed to maintain a designated supply of water on the lower portion of this creek in order to support a small riparian habitat. The trail overlooks the creek giving birders the opportunity to see birds on tree tops. The trail is most productive for birding for about the first mile to a large bridge that crosses the creek . Bird both sides of the trail and also watch overhead. Golden Eagles have been sighted from the trail.
