Roosevelt Lake – Orange Peel Day Use Area

Small site with limited parking next to N. Hwy 188. Overlooks riparian area and wetland that is the result of the rising and receding level of water in the area. Mix of waterfowl, wading birds, raptors, herons and desert related passerines.  Orange Peel is within easy walking distance of the Tonto Creek riparian area, an area rich in both plant and wildlife diversity, especially birds. A rustic, no-frills experience.
