Tempe Town Lake

Tempe Town Lake is an urban oasis located in the heart of Tempe, running from west of McClintock Road to east of Priest Road between Rio Salado Parkway and Curry Road. A system of paths allow people to walk, jog, bike and more along its edges.  There is an abundance of wildlife, from the fish in the lake to the many rabbits on the north side, many animals call Town Lake home. Look for the bald eagle overhead, a beaver or two near the east end of the lake, osprey, great blue heron and many other birds.

The marsh that lies east of Tempe Town Lake’s east dam also has great birding potential.
