Dateland Travel Center

An excess of agricultural ponds and towering palm groves creates an oasis for birds in a very arid part of the desert. With all the amenities of a large rest stop, the Dateland Travel Center can be a fun birding stop while traveling between Phoenix and Yuma. (It’s also an opportunity to try the famous date shakes and other date products that the area is known for.) Birds can be found in the sprawling Date Garden located directly adjacent to the Travel Center.
