Hannagan Meadow

Nestled in the southern reaches of the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, Hannagan Meadow is a campground that sits at over 9,000 feet and offers some of the finest scenery in southern Arizona. This spruce and ponderosa pine forest isn’t just for the birds. It’s chalk full of wildlife, including elk and black bear. Try out the Aker Lake Trail that originates at the campground. Note: The campground doesn’t offer as many amenities as other nearby sites but potable water is available seasonally.
