Mingus Mountain
Mingus Mountain is located in the Black Hills mountain range. The summit area can be reached via the winding paved State Route 89A. Located in the cool pines atop Mingus Mountain, this picnic area offers a spectacular view of the Verde Valley, the red rocks of Sedona, Humphrey’s Peak in Flagstaff, and the Mogollon Rim.

Directions: Off of Hwy 89A (between Prescott Valley and Jerome), turn on Forest Road 104 (at the Summit Picnic Site). Follow dirt road approximately 2.5 miles to 4-way stop. A right turn takes you into Mingus Mountain Campground. The day-use area is on the left, beyond the first set of tent sites (which are on the right).
