Cherry Creek Road
The start of an alternative route (to the paved State Route 89A) up Mingus Mountain climbing up through low hills, chaparral vegetation and weathered granite formations on its way to the former mining town of Cherry.
Mingus Mountain – Mingus Lake
A gorgeous small mountain lake about 7,500 ft. elevation with a marshy runoff on right side. Most of high elevation warblers and more.
Mingus Mountain
Located in the cool pines atop Mingus Mountain, this picnic area offers a spectacular view of the Verde Valley, the red rocks of Sedona, Humphrey’s Peak in Flagstaff, and the Mogollon Rim.
Potato Patch CG
A great base for exploring the various birding sites on Mingus Mountain. It is situated approximately half way between Prescott and Jerome.

One of a number of popular trails serving the Mingus Mountain Recreation Area. Beginning in mixed pine forest at over 7,600 feet, the trail offers views of the Verde Valley and Mogollon Rim.
