Tres Rios Overbank Wetlands – Maricopa Trail
A 700-acre habitat restoration project has brought this part of the Salt River back to life. Thanks to reclaimed water from a nearby water treatment plant, perennial surface water creates a splendid complex of wetlands and riparian habitats that draw all kinds of avian species year-round.

Directions: From Phoenix, go west on I-10 to 91st Avenue exit. Drive south for 5 miles to Broadway Road. Continue south for 1 mile to a small paved driveway on the right side of the road. Park on either side of the driveway to avoid blocking the gate. Carpooling is encouraged as parking is limited.
