Upper & Lower Juan Miller
This campground in a rarely visited part of the state is surrounded by lush pine-oak habitats that characterize this part of the Apache-Sitegreaves National Forest. At 5,780 feet above sea level a visit here offers a nice respite from the desert during the summer months. The site consists of a picnic area (Upper) and a campground (Lower). Pine siskin, bridled titmouse, Grace’s warbler, and painted redstart are found here during the summer months.

Directions: From Clifton, AZ, head north on US Hwy 191 about 27 until you reach Juan Miller Road (Forest Road 475). Go east a couple miles and you'll find Upper Juan Miller Picnic Area. A couple miles beyond this is the Lower Juan Miller Campground.

Access is year-round but occasional road closures during winter months following snow events. No drinking water is available at these sites.
